We had a great time at Crowland school,Harringay,Tottenham.It was fantastic wroking with children during our after school. The children at Crowland school had a great time in my after-school club, flying to the Moon and back. I mixed craft with writing to help children build their confidence in writing. All in line with the national curriculum, where children learn how to write a simple sentence using full stops and capital letters. They learned about characteristics like eye colour and hair for boys and girls. I worked with the head of year, Tracy-Ann Edwards, to create an exciting six-week after-school club. We used the theme of weird and wonderful alien shapes to drive the children’s imagination. The children made a jet pack using cardboard tubes and tin foil to fly them to the Moon and back.
